About TickerPosts

What TickerPosts Is

TickerPosts is a community site for discussing publicly traded stocks. Every ticker has its own page with a price chart, a short set of market facts, and a comment thread where people share analysis, news, and questions. The homepage surfaces what is moving and what is being discussed across the community.

The site is free to read. You can browse tickers, blog posts, and discussions without an account. Posting, voting, and saving a synced watchlist require a free account.

For quick answers to common trust questions about the site, see the frequently asked questions page.

Why We Built It

Most social-finance forums are noisy. Threads fill up with hype, fake screenshots, coordinated promotion, and posts that promise specific gains. Regulators have warned for years that social-media stock discussion is exploited for pump-and-dump schemes and rumor manipulation.

TickerPosts is built on a different premise: that there is room for a cleaner, calmer, more searchable place to talk about stocks. A place where serious research is easier to find than promotional noise, where moderation rules are public, and where the default experience is friendly to beginners without losing depth for experienced investors.

What You Can Do Here

  • Search any U.S.-listed ticker and see its current price, recent chart, and the live community discussion on one page.
  • Browse trending tickers, top gainers, top losers, the most discussed names, and the day's highest-volume stocks from the homepage.
  • Save tickers to your watchlist so you can come back to the discussion later. Sign in to sync the list across devices.
  • Post your own analysis, reply to other users, and upvote the comments you find most useful.
  • Read longer-form guides on the blog, including a checklist for spotting red flags before you follow a stock tip.
  • Track what has shipped recently in the changelog, which is updated with every release.

How TickerPosts Stays Useful

Discussion quality is a product feature, not an afterthought. Coordinated pumping, fake screenshots, impersonation, and guaranteed-return claims are explicitly against our rules. Reports are reviewed and acted on.

The full rules, including how moderation decisions are made, live on the community guidelines page. The site-wide disclaimer explains the limits of what a stock discussion forum can and cannot do for you.

What TickerPosts Is Not

TickerPosts is not a broker, dealer, or investment adviser. It does not execute trades, hold customer funds, or recommend buying or selling specific securities. Posts on the site are the opinions of the people writing them and are not investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

Price data and other market figures come from third-party sources and may be delayed or incomplete. Always confirm anything time-sensitive against your broker or the company's official filings before acting on it.

How To Reach Us

If you see a post that looks like coordinated promotion, a fake screenshot, an impersonation attempt, harassment, or another rule violation, use the report controls on the post so the moderation team can review it. Reporting from the post keeps the context attached and is the fastest way to get a response.

For everything else, including questions about how the site works or feedback on features, email tickerposts@fastmail.com. You can also watch the changelog for what we are working on next.
